Dotty Vintage Magazine: Manor Barn shoot

We are so excited to be part of a beautiful shoot for Dotty Vintage Weddings magazine. The print magazine is now available and I would like to share some of the lovely imagery here. The shoot was styled by the very talented Kate Cullen. The setting is The Manor Barn in the heart of Wiltshire and our lovely Inessa ankle boots are available in store.

Christmas Party Prep

It is finally December and it's been a whirl wind few weeks full of Christmas prep, new brides, a new kitten and of course Christmas parties. This week is the LAWA office party and we are looking forward to a evening filled with glitz & glamour, chocolates & champagne! My love for metallics is perfectly suited for this time of year and I am getting my gold heels out to play!

I love this baroque rough lace midi skirt, a steel from Next. I will wear it with a playful box clutch and some bold gold jewellery and our glamorous gold Marlene heels. This peep toe dance shoe in crackle finish gold leather, perfect for the christmas party season as well as weddings and evenings out.

This golden beauty is made from pale gold crackle kid leather and glitter. It has a comfortable 70mm stiletto mid heel that is covered in the crackle leather. This shoe is very feminine & pretty and fits like a dream. You will be able to wear them all day long and dance your night away.

Its cold but sunny and I'm heading into town for a meeting so today I want to wear something comfortable and bold. I am a sucker for a jumpsuit and I have fallen for this jersey one with zip detail from Michael Kors. I would style it with a playful clutch and some bold gold jewellery and our eye catchy red Cala ankle boot. Cala is a fitted shoe boot with two elasticated gusset panels. This modern chelsea boot is very striking and minimal. The deep red colour will add instant drama to any outfit. The body panels are made from a mixture of dark red kid suede & leather with matching elasticated panels. It has a dark red patent leather curved counter and elegant 85mm covered heel.

LAWA Real Weddings - Melita & Tom

Melita Tomic & Tom Griffiths live in Western Australia and their wedding was held on April 5th 2014 in Perth. The ceremony took place at St Denis Church and the reception at The Brown Fox. Melita looked lovely in a 1920's inspired beaded dress that she accessorised with our Scarlett Cream t-bar dance shoe. I am in love with the setting and the old school touches, from the pretty wedding invitations, her lovely beaded gown to the bold & bright flowers. A day full of colour and fun!

Find your Dirty Dancing heels

Since Patrick Swayze showed the world that no one puts Baby in the corner, Dirty Dancing has had a soft spot in most girls hearts.

At a recent bridal show I was chatting to a bride about finding her the perfect dance shoe for her wedding day. We both thought the most classic one must be Baby's last dance outfit & heels from Dirty Dancing. The romance of that dance has even inspired some awe/laughter inspiring first dances videos that has become a regular fixture on youtube. Going all out like that might not be most brides cup of tea, but owning the perfect pair of dance shoes still is!

LAWA Real Weddings - Christine & Jeff

Christine & Jeff had a wonderful romantic wedding in this picture perfect setting. The wedding was on 7^th June and  they got married in Hartest Church and the reception was at Boxted Hall, Suffolk. Surrounded by bright green country side and flooded with sunshine, they had a wonderful day!

We love the soft pink tone of Christines dress and our cute Inessa heart punch victorian lace up ankle boots looks just perfect with it!

Shorter Wedding dresses rocks!

I am a big fan of shorter wedding dresses, they look fresh, chic and original, and it's all about the shoes right? 

Well we love the fab combination of this blush tea-length corded lace and tulle dress (from Pretty Woman) with our classic Scarlett t-bars, so pretty! This fab feature is in the October issue of Scottish Wedding Directory.

LAWA Real Weddings - Jade & Christopher

Jade Lamson (now Sheridan) and Christopher Sheridan had a very creative and fun wedding. The wedding was in August 2014 at Gabbinbar Homestead in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia. Gabbinbar means peace. The theme for the wedding styling was Autumn Charm - Garden Party - Celebration of Love.

The beautiful outdoors setting is perfect for this vintage garden party wedding and all the couples personal touches adds a really individual sense of style. We especially love the wedding lamas! I think every wedding needs at least one!

This lovely couple is Tony and Gaebrielle Derham. A classic peep toe with attitude

LAWA Real Weddings - Catherine & Stephen

Catherine & Stephen got married at Hampton Court House, East Molesey on the 20th December 2013. The loose theme was vintage Hollywood glamour... so our Scarlet was perfect for the occasion! What a beautiful and old school glamorous wedding!

LAWA Real Weddings - Beccy & Ed

I am happy to introduce another of our lovely couples. Mrs Beccy Austin and Dr Ed Austin got married on the 6th of July last year and the weather was amazing! The ceremony was in St Edward's Church in Netley Abbey, Hampshire and the reception at Royal Victoria Country Park in Netley.

Beccy looked stunning in her long, floaty, ivory dress. Our Scarlett Ivory t-bar dance shoe was the perfect fit!

A must have summer trend - Mule Wedges

Mules might be something you once associated with your granny but there has been a significant revamp for SS14. The heels are higher and the silhouettes are more modern and edgy.

Nicola and Ros Gibson tied the knot on the the 28th March 2014. The setting was Cripps Stone Barn in the Costwolds. This lovely country wedding offered some beautiful & dramatic scenery as backdrop for their stunning photos.

A taster of next seasons new styles!

We have just received the first photos of our new season samples. I can't wait to go over to the factory next week to tweak & fit these beauties. I thought you might like to see some of the lovely new styles that we are working on. I have already fallen in love with them!

We've had a lot of requests for lower heel styles this past season, so this time round we are introducing some kitten heels. Brides that are after pure comfort but still need that touch of LAWA magic needs to look no further. The pretty Karis & Neave will be just perfect...
