Tropical Boho shoot

Last summer the fabulous photographer Frances Carlisle and I took on the job of creating our first styled shoot together. We came up with the idea of a bright tropical styled wedding while sipping gin cocktails at a local haunt in Peckham. We quickly realised that pulling a shoot together takes a whole lotta work and planning and to lend her hand and well honed skills, Andri at Always Andri came on board.

We wanted to keep the shoot local to our corner of London so started looking for venues in South London and came across a relatively new and beautiful location. Severndroog Castle is the perfect hidden woodland spot for intimate and romantic weddings so we where delighted to shoot in their tower room as well as the grounds around it.

We wanted a slightly boho feel to our tropical theme and the lovely dresses, the hair, floral crown, cake, cocktails & drinks corner all came together beautifully in this colourful and vibrant shoot. The vintage tea trolley is the stylists own but you can hire ones similar to this online. Our cocktails, mocktails and fabulous fruit display added the classic tropical flare. We think it's the perfect blend of elegance and kitsch and I hope you enjoy the feast of colour!

Hair & make-up was by Amanda Roberts, she is a wizard with a hair and blusher brush! All the beautiful flowers came from The Fresh Flower Company and the furniture and place settings came from Classic Crockery while Pepper and Joy‘s tropical jungle stationery was a perfect fit for this fun theme. The amazing peach coloured butter cream cake was baked, iced and assembled by The Little Bear Cakery. It looks too good to eat but we did and it was amazing!!!!

For the first indoor look (below) we chose an elegant floaty and floral embroidered dress. This beauty is called Ivy, from Naomi Neoh‘s 2016 Collection. The tie front suede shoes we styled it with is our popular Anoush platform from Love Art Wear Art.

For the second look (below) we headed outside into the woodland. This look had a more boho vibe with a floaty off the shoulder, relaxed gown from the Saja Collection at Rock the Frock Bridal. Paired with the Carmen glitter tbar sandal from our limited edition bridal collection. It was finishing off with an assymetrical flower crown by The Fresh Flower Company.
