An urban shoot with Geometric Patterns to see in the new year!

Happy new year! It is 2016 and I would like to kick off this new year of fabulous weddings with this quirky and modern shoot at the South Bank centre that was styled by Carrie Southall Design. It is all about gorgeous geometric shapes, clean lines and bright colours.

The look had to be urban, design-conscious with just a bit of rock and roll! The geometric trend definitely fits within this arena. The South Bank centre with its design heritage and mid century vibe was perfect for our shoot. The result is elegant, and a little bit unexpected, the whole thing is brilliantly captured by both Paola De Paola Photography and Wagtail Productions

The models are a real couple and are young creatives just starting their own careers within the wedding industry and we loved their young, cool look. The shoot includes striking floral arrangements by Clare from Love Blooms and fun dresses from Rock the Frock. The shoes used to complete the looks are our tie front platform beauty Anoush, our gold and glam Marlene bar shoe as well as the quirky, love heart ankle boot style Inessa.

LAWA weddings - Katie & Tom

As a Londoner I love an elegant urban wedding and Katie and Toms was just that. It was such a fabulous affair that it has been featured on Rock My Weddings blog. I would like to share a few of my favourite photos but for the full post head over to the blog.

The beautiful photos are by the photographer Hearts On Fire, the vintage gown from Elizabeth Avey & high street bridesmaid dresses and groomsmen suits. Our cute round toe court Lara, in blush satin and silver & glitter leather looked great with the dress and in the lovely green, blush & gold colour scheme.

Katie:"I wore handmade heels from Love Art Wear Art. I originally wanted a green pair, but when I stumbled across these I couldn’t resist! A thick heel was essential for me, for both comfort and to ensure I didn’t damage the lace on my dress, and the sparkle was a bonus!"

LAWA Real Weddings - Fiona & Simon

While it is early dark, windy and very wintery, we love looking back at some of the fabulous summer weddings we where part off. Here is a beautiful Irish wedding I've been waiting to share...

Fiona & Simon tied the knot at the Lough Erne Resort, Enniskillen, Northern Ireland on the 21st of June 2014. Fiona looked stunning in a Maggie Sottero dress. She wore it with our Carmen Cream sparkly t-bar sandal. She looks gorgeous in this happy picture with her lovely bridesmaids. I am loving the beautiful pale lilac dresses, very tasteful and beautiful!

Feeling blue comes true!

A while ago I posted about our latest blue inspiration. Beautiful blue dresses, gem embellishments and gold lace combos that got us thinking off... the perfect glamorous LAWA wedding shoe, and bag of course!

So we created our pale blue Carmen glitter sandal. Carmen is our stunning minimal stiletto heel sandal with a geometric glitter t-bar. The heel height is an elegant yet comfortable 85mm and covered in the pale kid suede. It has gold suede, glitter leather & delicate gold beading on the t-bar. The two cross-over, ankle straps fasten with gold roller buckles.

It is made from a mixture of platinum glitter & shimmering gold kid suede. The sock & lining is soft kid leather and it has an embossed natural leather outsole. As always each pair of shoes are individually numbered on a little metal banner on the outsole.

We also have a beautiful pale blue suede & glitter envelop clutch bag available. Have a look at our bag section for the matching Lucille clutch

Lucille is an elegant envelope clutch made from pale blue kid suede, platinum glitter & shimmering gold kid suede. It has a platinum glitter envelope flap with an invisible clip closure and shimmering gold suede piping and side panels. The main body of the bag is from pale blue kid suede. It has a removable 19"L chain shoulder strap; 8 1/2" drop. The lining is from cotton with a small internal zip bag. The overall size is 310mm W x 130mm H.

AN ALCHEMY INSPIRED BRIDAL SHOOT

We are very proud to be part of this dramatic Alchemy inspired bridal shoot that is now available on Love My Dress. This little bit of magic has been created by Ana from Bianco Photography

The beautiful dresses are from new ‘painted desert’ collection of gowns by Elizabeth Dye. For the shoot the model wears three of our LAWA limited edition styles. For the first look below, the model wears our Karis gold cage kitten heel. with this floor length  rough lace gown. The glitter caged vamp details adds a lovely delicate touch to this kitten heel peep. It is the perfect shoe for the bride that's looking for a lower heel option that is still pretty and elegant.

For something much more dramatic we combined the dark red suede Malika tassel peep with a long slinky champagne silk gown. The swinging silk tassels looks beautiful dangling down the foot and can be moved to the side or centre as you prefer. It is nice to have the option of a coloured shoe that looks very striking on the day and that you are guaranteed to get a lot of wear out after the wedding!

Ana explains “The Alchemist had the goal of changing ordinary metals into gold, so we decided to use golden details throughout, including within the stationery, jewellery, shoes and make up too.”

For the last look the models wear our gold Marlene bar shoe. This glittery peep toe looks fabulous against the dramatic lace bodice and full layered nude net & chiffon skirt of this stunning dress. It is made from a combination of gold crackle and glitter leather, definitely a true touch of the Alchemists gold!

It is always a pleasure to work with so many talented suppliers. For this shoot it include the fabulous Heart Aflutter bridal boutique, Shhh My Darling illustrated stationary, Bride To Bijoux styling, Ivy Pip and Rose florist and We are Arrow jewellery.

I hope you enjoyed these lovely and inspiring images. For the full shoot go to the Love My Dress post here

LAWA weddings - Catriona & Rory

Rory Craig and Catriona Allan were married in Udny Green, an idyllic village in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The marriage ceremony took place at Udny Parish Church which is located beside the traditional village green. A reception was held in the village hall hosted by Eat on the Green, a Two AA rosette restaurant located in Udny Green.

Their special day was captured by Caro Weiss, a contemporary wedding photographer based in Glasgow, Scotland.

Catriona wore a simple, formal bridal gown with a high floral-patterned lace neckline and subtle fishtail train. The dress, called ‘Imogen’ was designed by Scottish wedding dress designer, Joyce Young. The look was completed with our Scarlett Ivory shoes and Rowan hair comb.

Catriona: "I am delighted with my purchases from Love Art Wear. The customer service and design were first class. The hair comb was exactly what I had in mind and the shoes were both comfortable and elegant. I think I was the only female member of the wedding party who still had their shoes on at the end of the night!”
