Love Art Wear Art wins industry award

Footwear Friends - Sixth Annual Awards Evening. Tuesday November 1st was the night that the Footwear Industry celebrated a new generation of emerging talent.

Both the doyens of the industry and a veritable host of new talented designers of developing brands celebrated at the extraordinary Cinema Museum in South London. Joanne Stoker, creator of her eponymous brand and Head of Footwear design at Mathew Williamson – and a former winner of an Award - was the keynote speaker with a fascinating summary of how she has arrived at the level of success she now enjoys.

We are happy to report that Love Art Wear Art was selected as the winner of the Footwear Friends Designer Award 2012 – Nicole Le Grange of Love Art Wear Art, was presented with a £5,000 bursary aimed at furthering Young Designers/Entrepreneurs business/expertise. Buckingham Consulting and Park Lane Shoes Ltd jointly sponsored the 2012 Award. The Award includes a 12-month mentoring programme by industry experts. Chau Har Lee, one of the judges and a senior designer for Nike, made the presentation.

I want to thank Richard Kottler, Footwear Friends and the generous sponsors of this award. We will put the award money to good use in establishing our brand and I am looking forward to work closely with the mentors on the programme.

The new summer collection have arrived.

Here are a view styes from our gorgeous new summer collection for SS13. This season we decided to cater for more occasions and keep comfort key. A wide range of flat sandals, mid heights & wedges. But ladies, we still love our heels so you can dance the night away in sexy Carmen & Scarlett. Hope you like them!

A shimmery, pale & pretty start to summer

Even though it is still depressingly grey and cold outside we've moved on to the summer range for next year. Over the next few post I will introduce you to the potential new styles. We would love to hear back from you to get your comments and input so please let us know what you think.

SS13 LAWA pallet

Our pallet is fresh and clean with mid brown & pale grey to ground it. Look out for coloured foils in mint, rose & lilac as well as a deep antique gold. Perfect summer pastel sage & dusty lilac sits along deeper tones and nude. Bright lemon is used for highlight & a bright summery contrast. We also use embossed snakes in building up a rich textural pallet.

PURE AW12 Collection

LAWA made their wholesale debut at PURE in February. We where selected as a 'upcoming labels to watch' by the British Footwear association. Love Art Wear Art exhibited as part of the BFA's Designer Collective. We showed our full AW12 wholesale range for the first time and I'm happy to report we had some great feedback and gained some lovely new stockists for next season. 

A blend of 1940s vintage elegance and femininity with detailing inspired by traditional Cossack embroidery is the story behind Love Art Wear Art's AW'12 women's footwear collection. Oversized bow, scallop, tassel and heart punch detail styles come in a glowing tan, blue, grey & black with touches of moss green and berry tones. Rich velvets and antique metallics bring a luxurious edge to the buttery soft kid suedes & leathers. Each pair is individually numbered with a tiny metal banner on the breast of the shoe, ensuring your shoes are exclusive to you.
